The Big Vegan Market in Melbourne is a two-day event held at the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building. This event brought together hundreds of vendors from all over Australia, creating a vibrant and diverse marketplace for everything vegan.

This market was a dream for vegan foodies. The market featured a wide array of freshly-cooked vegan food that you could eat on the spot, as well as vegan products to take home. Many vendors provided samples so you could try it out before deciding what to buy. There were also art, clothing, skin care products from creative independent sellers.

For something savoury, okonomiyaki from Vegilicious, pizza from Shop 225, or Polish pierogi from Pierogi Pierogi are great choices. After that, get a vegan oat soft serve from Future Swirl, or hazelnut rocher dessert from Ginger Snap. I’ve also tried the pistachio spread from Essential Vegan, the rich chocolate drink from Mörk and the mushroom pate from Elder Roots, all of which were amazing.

Entry to the market was reasonably priced at about A$7 in the 2024 April market. Tickets could be pre-booked online or purchased at the door with ease, both costing the same.

For details of the next market, check out their website and social media.
