Tucked away in Sham Shui Po, Yudei offers a serene, zen atmosphere that’s perfect for a quiet solo meal or a calm outing with friends. If you’re looking to host a lively group to catch up, this might not be the spot for you, as discourage any loud chatting.
This restaurant uses a self-service setup - Simply order at the counter and wait for your buzzer before collecting your meal.
Yudei’s menu features a creative fusion of Japanese and other global flavours, sometimes with special collaborations with chef Tina Barrat, who brings in innovative vegan and raw meal sets.
I sampled a few dishes during my visit, including a rich Japanese curry rice packed with a variety of veggies, and a beautifully presented baked potato and pumpkin dish drizzled with homemade onion sour cream. To finish, check whether they have the amazing basque cheesecake as dessert-of-the-day as it has a wonderfully firm yet creamy texture.
