Overall I enjoyed the food at Za Za Ta. The standout dishes were the black lentil mushroom manti (it’s a dumpling dish made with Fable meat. Deep flavours with contrasting textures) and triple cooked potato (so surprisingly crispy and flavourful, and the garlicky vegan butter the potatoes are served on is amazing).
Other dishes are nice, but one dish that was a bit of a let down was the green wheat tabbouli, which didn’t pack the flavour punch like some of the other dishes. For that price, I was expecting more than just a small raw salad.
The prices of Za Za Ta are on the higher end with pretty small portions. But it still can be a good choice for special occasions if you don’t mind spending more.
